The building located at 19 Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid has undergone a comprehensive rehabilitation focused on technical excellence, sustainability, and energy efficiency. It is the first refurbished tertiary-use building in Spain to achieve the demanding Passivhaus certification, which guarantees minimal energy demand and optimal indoor comfort. The intervention encompassed both the structural and functional renovation of the property and a thorough upgrade of its thermal envelope, including the installation of mechanical ventilation systems with heat recovery and the implementation of high-performance passive construction solutions.
This project has received multiple national and international awards in the fields of rehabilitation and sustainability, standing out as a benchmark for urban regeneration committed to energy efficiency and architectural quality. The works were executed respecting the original structural conditions and heritage listing of the building, while optimizing its layout for office use and equipping it with state-of-the-art installations.
