The rehabilitation of the Casa de las Alhajas, a distinctive late 19th-century building located in the historic center of Madrid, involved a comprehensive intervention aimed at its architectural conservation and enhancement for new cultural and institutional uses. The work focused on the restoration of the pitched roofs and supporting structure, the recovery and consolidation of the central glazed lantern —an iconic feature of the complex— and the refurbishment of interior spaces while preserving their original decorative elements. New technical installations were integrated following principles of compatibility and minimal alteration, adapting the building to contemporary standards for safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency.
